ABOUT ROBERT
Robert Schwarzenbach
Robert Schwarzenbach Bio
After graduating from the University of California Berkeley and attending the UCLA Interior Design Program, Robert Schwarzenbach got his start working for the highly esteemed design firm, Frank Pennino & Associates. Schwarzenbach Designs was established in 1990 to provide sophisticated design services to a select group of clients.
Among Schwarzenbach Designs’ accomplishments are the restoration and expansion of a Pasadena home originally designed by architect Roland Coate. Robert worked with architect Ned Engs to provide his clients with a design for an improved living space, including the addition of an art gallery, while preserving the integrity of Coate’s design aesthetic.
Schwarzenbach Designs has overseen a number of design projects in the Los Angeles area, including a project with architect David Serrurier, restoring and expanding a 1920’s era Spanish colonial house.
Various international projects have been undertaken as well, including a residential design for two adjoining houses in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, where the client’s casually elegant lifestyle and the indigenous elements of Baja California Sur were successfully merged.
Schwarzenbach Designs has worked on projects in Aspen, Seattle, New York City, Santa Barbara, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Sydney, Australia, and is available for services worldwide.
